The purpose of this evaluation was to provide a comprehensive overview of DIS approaches utilized across the United States; improve health and ancillary systems to maximize linkages to sexual health services for GBMSM in Rhode Island; and to describe community-specific needs to inform DIS approaches for GBMSM in the state.
Annotated Bibliography for Overdose Prevention Centers Research
PPHC and the Drug Policy Alliance have put together an annotated bibliography covering the last five years of research pertaining to overdose prevention centers (2018-2023). This is a living document that may be updated periodically.
Somerville Supervised Consumption Site Needs Assessment an Feasibility Report:
In 2021, members of the collective and others were tasked by the City of Somerville to do a needs assessment and feasibility report for a potential supervised consumption site.
The VILLAGE Prevention Plan: Improving prevention efforts and health outcomes for people who use drugs.
PPHC worked with the Rhode Island Department of Health to understand the state’s risk for an outbreak of new HIV or hepatitis C infections. Using data, statistics and mapping tools, the risk of infection by neighborhood was calculated and this data was used to inform the Village Prevention Plan.
